HIV Chemsex

Chemsex involves using drugs to improve sex. Usually people do this to change the physical sensations they have during sex (increase pleasure and their ability to have sex longer), or to change their psychological experiences (increase confidence or eliminate inhibitions) . Chemsex can last for several hours at a time and often with several sexual partners (for example at parties), but can also involve a couple or a lonely masturbation. It is more common in gay men, but heterosexuals often use drugs and alcohol to improve sex, and there may also be risks to sexual (and other) health.
The three popular medicine used for chemsex are gammahydroxybutyrate / gammabutyrolactone (also known as GHB / GBL, G or Gina) mephedrone (meph or meow) crystal methamphetamine (crystal meth). alcohol or other drugs.
The drugs used in chemsex also pose other health risks. It is easy to take too much GHB. This can make you "pass out" and make you more vulnerable to sexual assault. Whatever the circumstances and whatever drugs you take, remember that sexual assault is never acceptable and is never your fault.
