Nuclide is a term used to classify very specifically different forms of atoms. Each nuclide has a unique set of characteristics such as (a) the number of protons, (b) the number of neutrons and (c) the energy state. If any of these changes, the atom becomes a different nuclide. About 3,700 nuclides have been identified. Most of them are radionuclides, which means that they are unstable and undergo radioactive decay. The scientific journal is a periodical publication intended to advance science, generally by reporting new research. There are thousands of scientific journals being published, and many more have been published at different times in the past. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the older journals publish articles and scientific articles in a wide range of scientific fields. Scientific journals contain peer-reviewed articles, to ensure that the articles meet the journal's standards for quality and scientific validity. The publication of research results is an essential part of the scientific method. If they describe experiments or calculations, they must provide enough detail for an independent researcher to repeat the experiment or calculation to verify the results. Each of these review articles is part of the permanent scientific record.
