Cardiac tamponade is the pressure that is exerted on the heart by blood or another fluid that builds up in the space around the pericardium. Cardiac tamponade called pericardial tamponade. Cardiac tamponade is an acute type of pericardial effusion in which fluid, pus, blood, clots, or gases. The accumulation of fluid in the pericardial space leads to cardiac compression, the reduction in venous return is called cardiac tamponade depending on the pericardial distensibility. It requires immediate fluid restoration and other support to relieve the physiological state.
