Antimicrobial resistance is said to be occurred when the microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi changes in a way that renders the medications which are used as a cure for the infections. When the microorganisms become resistant to most antimicrobials they are refereed to as “superbugs”.
This is a major concern because a resistant infection may kill that may even spread to others and causes to impose huge costs to individuals and the whole society. Antimicrobial resistance is said to be the broader term for resistance in many different types of microorganisms that encompasses resistance to antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic and antifungal drugs. High-impact journals are those considered to be highly influential in their respective fields.
