Anterior cruciate ligament is one of the pair of cruciate ligaments in the human knee that help stabilize your knee joint. It prevents the shin bone from sliding out in front of the thigh bone which controls the back and forth motion of your knee. You will likely to feel pain in the center of your knee during an ACL tear. The treatment may include rest and rehabilitation exercises to help your knee regain strength and stability.
