Cloud computing has changed the thanks to use computing resources which include computers, network, data storage and application services. Due to this the way of management and delivery of services, technologies and solutions even have changed. The new environment requires software testing methods, technologies and tools also to be changed. To ensure top quality of cloud applications under development, developers are expected to perform testing of quality and correctness of the developed software. This research discusses the characteristics of software testing in a cloud computing environment. This research discusses the definition, characteristics, types, advantages and challenges of cloud computing software testing.
