Apart from clinical routine, we also engaged in teaching and research responsibilities of clinical medicine. I spent ten years in Zhujiang Hospital till 2000, and then joined in a high-tech company of medical instruments to be a consultant. In 2004 I return to the realm of medicine and have since been working as a Nephrologist in the Department of Nephrology of Nanshan Hospital of Guangdong Medical College. In recent years, my research works largely focus on the abnormality of iron metabolism and management of renal anemia in chronic kidney disease.
