Biography

Prof Vladan Koncar, was born in 1962 in Belgrade, Serbia. He received the MS degree in Electronic Engineering in 1986 from the BelgradeUniversity, Faculty of Electronics and the PhD degree in Automation and Industrial Computer Science from the University de Lille I, Villeneuve d’Ascq, France in 1991. He is currently Professor and head of research at ENSAIT - University North of France located in Roubaix, France. The short CV of Professor Koncar is given below:
Head of Research at ENSAI(Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles, Roubaix, France), since November 2009;Director of GEMTEX research laboratory, since November 2009. Scientific coordinator of MAPICC 3D on Textile Composite Structures, FP 7 project. Professor Koncar is vice President of AUTEX, the International Association of Universities for Textiles. He is a member of the Governing Council of European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing and also member of Editorial Boards of different Scientific Journals.
