Biography

Dr Togay Ozbakkaloglu is a Senior Lecturer of Structural Engineering at the University of Adelaide. He received his PhD from the University of Ottawa, Canada in 2005. Dr Ozbakkaloglu's research focuses on the development of new technologies to improve reliability and performance of new and existing civil infrastructure. He is particularly interested in the use of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites for design, repair and strengthening of concrete structures as well as in development of new composite structural systems. Dr Ozbakkaloglu has published over 120 peer-reviewed papers in these areas, including over 60 refereed journal articles that appeared in the field’s leading journals. He is an Associate Editor of the Australian Journal of Civil Engineering and serves on the editorial boards of five international journals
