Qingbo Li obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry at Iowa State University and received postdoctorial training in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Penn State University. He joined the faculty of University of Illinois at Chicago as an assistant professor in 2005 with appointments in Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy.
His research interest is in proteomics, protein turnover, mycobacteria-host cell interaction, and mycobacterial drug response and persistence.
