Dr. Negi did his Doctoral degree from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India and Post-Doctoral Fellowship from Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA. Dr. Negi’s area of research is Postharvest Technology, wherein he is working on the storage, processing and biotechnology of Fruits and Vegetables, and value addition to by-products. Dr. Negi has worked extensively on adding value to Agro-industrial by-products by utilizing them for extraction of natural antimicrobials/ antioxidants, and currently he is exploring various underutilized fruits and vegetables for the extraction of natural preservatives. Dr. Negi is involved in teaching of MSc (Food Technology) and supervising Doctoral and Master's research. Dr. Negi has published 50 papers and filed 19 patents, besides contributing 8 book chapters. Dr. Negi was received several Award from the “Association of Food Scientist and Technologists”, India; and was conferred with the designation of ‘Certified Food Scientist’ by the “International Food Science Certification Commission”, USA.
