Biography

Dr. Jose Roberto Fioretto is an associate professor in pediatrics department at Sao Paulo State University-UNESP, Brazil. He was chief of Pediatrics Department (2001-2005), Deputy-chief of Pediatrics Department (1999-2001), Chief of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Botucatu Medical School - UNESP (since 1992) and Chief of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Bauru State Hospital – UNESP (since 2003), Vice-president of Sao Paulo State Intensive Care Society - SOPATI (2010-2013) and President of the Pediatric Intensive Care Committee of Sao Paulo State Pediatrics Society (2001-2003).

Research Interest

His research interests include physiopathology in pediatric critical care medicine, mainly related to acute respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation, and severe infections.
