Guangping Chen is Currently an Assistant Professor of Renal Division at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Research Interest

Guangping Chen research is on the mechanisms of urine concentration. (1) the molecular mechanism(s) of urea transporter UT-A1 trafficking mediated by a group of small proteins (Rab14, caveolin-1, 14-3-3, galectin); (2) ubiquitin modulation of UT-A1 mediated by MDM2 and USP24; (3) Urea transport regulation by N-linked glycosylation; (4) Kidney urea transport mediated by novel sodium dependent urea transporter.
