Biography

George Leledakis is an Assistant professor of finance at the Department of Accounting and Finance of Athens University of Economics and Business. Formerly, he was Researcher in the Department of Research and Development at the Athens Stock Exchange, and has held previous appointment as a Research Fellow at Warwick Business School of Warwick University. His holds a BSc in Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business, MA in Money, Banking and Finance, from Management School University of Sheffield and PhD in Finance from Warwick Business School. His PhD thesis was supported financially by the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece (ΙΚΥ). Publications have appeared in such journals as Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Multinational Financial Management and Applied Financial Economics.

Research Interest

George’s research and teaching interests are in the areas of Corporate Finance and Portfolio Management. In particular, his current research focuses on the dividend policy, share repurchases, the cross-sectional influences on security returns and multi-factor model of equity risk and their use in portfolio management. His work on cross-sectional influences on security returns incorporates investigations on a number of stock market anomalies including firm size effects and the influence of a number of key quantities such as Tobin’s q on overall returns.
