Biography

Dr. Raju Bandu is a Research Professor in department of Applied Chemistry, Kyung Hee University, Yong-in city, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. Dr. Raju did his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from IICT, Hyderabad, India. He has been working on cancer biomarker discovery, drug metabolism & pharmacokinetic studies, pharmaceutical analysis, lipid and metabolic profiling in biological samples like cells, tissues, blood and urine using LC-MS/MS and other analytical techniques. He is an editorial board member in “Edorium Journal of Biomarker Research” and “Journal of Drug Metabolism and Toxicology” journals. Dr. Raju is serving as a reviewer for several reputed international journals. He has contributed to more than 25 research papers published in highly reputed international journals.

Research Interest

Biomarker discovery, metabolomics and lipidomics studies using advanced mass spectrometric techniques. Development of disease specific biomarkers by quantitative mass spectrometric analysis. Identification of metabolite, protein and lipid based biomarkers in different biological samples (blood, urine, cells and tissues) of various cancers and other diseased samples from human and animal models using LC-MS, GC-MS, MALDI-MS and other analytical techniques along with statistical tools. Drug discovery and development processes for various life style diseases using cutting-edge analytical techniques. Characterization and structure elucidation of various biotransformation products in different biological samples using advanced mass spectrometric techniques. Lipidomic profiling and imaging by ESI-MS and MALDI-MS.
