Biography

Mr Jayanthi is a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon with a specialist interest in Oesophago-gastric cancers and Bariatric Surgery.
Following doctoral research at Oxford University, he completed Higher Surgical training in All Wales Higher Surgical Training Programme. Mr Jayanthi has done senior fellowships at world-renowned centres of excellence. He was a Senior Laparoscopic Fellow at ICENI, Colchester; Senior Registrar at the St James University Hospital, Leeds and Ethicon Bariatric Surgery Fellow at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
Mr Jayanthi has been awarded a number of awards. Most recently, he was awarded the prestigious David Dunn Travelling Scholarship for 2013 by Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britain & Ireland.
Mr Jayanthi practices at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, UK which is a tertiary referral centre for oesophago-gastric cancer and complex Upper Gastro-Intestinal conditions.
