He is a versatile Ophthalmologist with over 44 published scholarly articles and obtained Ophthalmology Fellowships from National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, Sankara Eye Hospital Academy of Ophthalmology, Chennai, India, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and Aravind Eye Hospital, Pondicherry, India. Currently a Senior Lecturer and Consultant Ophthalmologist/Vitreo-retinal Surgeon to University of Uyo and University of Uyo Teaching Hospital respectively. A recipient of Commonwealth scholarship with several presentations in local and international Ophthalmology conferences.
