This article explores the multifaceted role of AI in surgery, focusing on its applications, benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations. AI algorithms can enhance the quality of medical images, such as CT scans, MRIs, and X-rays. By improving image clarity and highlighting anomalies, AI assists surgeons in accurate preoperative assessments. AI-based tools can rapidly detect and diagnose conditions that may require surgical intervention, such as tumors, fractures, or vascular abnormalities.
