						 Because of their additional anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, as well as the lack of side effects associated with their use, the use 
  of herbal products in the oral cavity has grown in popularity and potential benefits. In periodontitis patients, the clinical effectiveness of herbal 
  dental products (mouthwash, dentifrice, gel) was compared to conventional products or placebo. A systematic review of 22 studies published up 
  to March 2022 that used any herbal dental product and compared it to conventional products or placebo in periodontitis patients were screened.
