    Many nations aim to use information technology (IT) in healthcare research and practice. IT capabilities have advanced dramatically over the past fifty years. New and beneficial applications of IT in the medical field have been made possible by a number of developments. Software, computer science, medicine, information science, statistics, cognitive sciences, and mathematics all come together in the interdisciplinary field of medical informatics (MI). Using concepts, tools, methods, software techniques, and modelling, this field aims to reduce healthcare costs while also reducing care errors.
