Stephanie Shiau is a PhD Candidate in Epidemiology at Columbia University and a Project Coordinator at the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center. She has 4+ years of experience managing clinical trials and observational research studies. Her primary research interests lie at the intersection of lifecourse epidemiology and HIV. She currently studies long-term morbidities related to early-life infection with HIV, as well as the timing of antiretroviral treatment initiation in HIV-infected infants and children. She is also interested in global non-communicable disease and is passionate about teaching epidemiological methods. Stephanie holds a BA in Public Health Studies from The Johns Hopkins University and an MPH in Epidemiology from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
