Biography

Dr. Asirvatham is presently Professor of Medicine, Professor of Pediatrics, in the Department of Medicine and a Consultant in Cardiac Electrophysiology in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology, Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. He is also the Program Director for the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Training Program at Mayo Clinic and Director of Strategic Collaborations with the Center of Innovation at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. These positions allow him to pursue his clinical interests (including radiofrequency ablation of ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation and implantation of newer defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization devices, particularly in patients with congenital heart disease)
