Philip McCallion, director of UAlbany's Center for Excellence in Aging and Community Wellness, is an expert on the Medicare D program, on which he conducts educational programs for seniors in upstate New York in conjunction with state providers and the Elder Network of the Capital Region.His research and program development activities include evaluating the effectiveness of interventions for persons with dementia, the development of outreach strategies and interventions, and the assisting of agencies with direct care workforce development.McCallion is a Hartford Geriatric Social Work Faculty Scholar.
