Biography

 Nancy Padian is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Public Health at UC Berkeley. She is also the Executive Director of the Women's Global Health Imperative. Padian's work bridges the gap between traditional infectious disease epidemiology and the broader context of women's reproductive health. Her research focuses on developing and evaluating female-controlled methods for disease prevention, along with alternative strategies for fostering young women's economic independence.
