Biography

Professor Mohamed M. Shoukri has received his PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Calgary, Alberta Canada in 1980. He was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby BC, Canada, Promoted to Associate Professor and granted tenure at the University of Windsor, Ontario, and Promoted to full professor with tenure at the Department of Population Medicine, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Currently, he is working as a Principal Scientist in The National Biotechnology Centre, King Faisal Specialist Hospital, and Adjunct Professor at Al-Faisal University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Chairman of the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Scientific Computing. His research has included Statistical Methodological Research in biology and Medicine. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honours, such as: The University of Calgary Graduate Scholarship, and The Ethel Ray-bold award for outstanding mathematical research, offered by the Department of Mathematics, University of Queensland, Australia. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like, Biomedical Central, Journal of Family and Community Medicine, and the Annals of Saudi Medicine & expert Reviewers for journals like Statistical Methods in Medical Research, Statistics in Medicine, Journal of Clinical Neonatology, and Research Methodology, Biomedical Central.... He has authored over 170 peer reviewed research articles and he is the first author of 5 books published by CRC-Press & Chapman and hall. He is a member of the American Statistical Association, and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.
