Mikio Nishizawa is a Professor, Institute of Science and Engineering, College of Life Sciences, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Ritsumeikan University. He is molecular biologist and biochemist, working on the regulation of gene expression in mammalian cells, in particular natural antisense transcript-mediated regulation (NATRE) of mRNA stability. Also investigating functions of low-MW drugs and Japanese herbal drugs, as well as functional foods, which controls the above-mentioned genes.
