Biography

Lisa A. Ferretti serves as a Director and Research Assistant Professor at the Center for Excellence in Aging & Community Wellness in the School of Social Welfare - State University of New York at Albany.A New York State Licensed Master Social Worker Lisa is an Atlantic Philanthropies/John A. Hartford Foundation Practice Change Leader in Geriatric Care and advanced a Participatory Action Practice model in a diverse upstate New York inner-city community. Her work building a community coalition to increase heart healthy behaviors continues with support from the New York State Department of Health’s Healthy Heart Program. Lisa regularly provides technical assistance and develops/conducts training, workshops and educational seminars on a variety of topics related to health and wellness, behavior change, community building, aging, care giving and social work practice throughout New York State and nationally.
