Leelavati Murthy is a faculty member of Department of Structural Biology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, USA and Department Pharmacology and Chemical Biology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh,USA.His research article was on Role of Conserved Transmembrane Domain Cysteines in Activation of Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor.

G protein coupled receptor (GPCR); Metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR6); Transmembrane domain; cAMP assay; GTP - Europium (GTP-Eu) assay, Buffers and Media for cell culture, Cloning and establishment of stable cell lines of wild-type and cysteine mutants of human, Immunofluorescence, Wild-type and cysteine mutants in stable cell lines are expressed on the membrane at comparable levels, Transmembrane cysteine mutants respond unequally to agonist but uniformly to treatment in cAMP assays.
