Prof. Karol Kozak is in charge of Biomedical Computer Science Unit at Fraunhofer Society and Medical Faculty, Dresden University of Technology. He plays a leading role in defining the strategy for organizing management of large scale medical data.During PhD time Karol Kozak became an expert in statistical pattern recognition applied to large scale screening data. Kozak has been influential in the development of image NoSQL/InMemory Databases for Industry/Life Science and data mining tools for High Throughput, High Content Screening (HCS) over the 8 years at Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetic in Dresde and ETH Zurich.
