Dr. Jeffrey L. Kibler, Ph.D., Professor, completed his doctoral training at the University of Miami (1999). He completed his clinical psychology residency and postdoctoral training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. His research is in cardiovascular behavioral medicine, and has focused particularly on behavioral and psychological factors associated with cardiovascular risks in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He also examines other behavioral and psychological markers (e.g., health risk behaviors, stress and cognitive appraisal) for heart disease and other chronic illnesses.
