Heeseung Choi

Biography

Heeseung Choi is currently working as a Assistant Professor in Department of Health Systems Science, UIC College of Nursing. Dr. Choi serves on the PMA Nursing Advisory Committee and planning committee for Asian American Suicide Prevention Initiatives. With her expertise in both nursing and public health, Dr. Choi has taught a wide range of classes, including mental health nursing, community health nursing, health promotion, and research method. Currently, she teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, with a primary focus on mental health and research. The goal of Dr. Choi's program of research is to develop and test culturally and developmentally relevant mental health promotion programs for immigrants, particularly Korean American adolescents and their parents.
