Ewa Burchacka (Pietrusewicz)

Biography

Ewa Burchacka was graduated from Technical University, Wroclaw. Her field of study was Biotechnology and Medicinal Chemistry. The subject of her Master thesis regards the synthesis of phosphonates as inhibitors of serine proteases and combined elements of organic synthesis and enzyme kinetics, which to a large extent shaped the interdisciplinary nature of the her research. During her research work she obtained inhibitors of cathepsin G, which resulted in the publication in the Journal of Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry.
