Department of Chemistry Munich University of Technology Germany
He is a Extraordinary Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Technische Universität München, Germany. He received a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Chemistry. His research interests, as a Proffesor lie in Chemistry, Metabolic reactions, Metabolomics, NMR- and MS methods, Biotechnological processes. As a Proffesor , he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research.
In the working group Eisenreich metabolic processes and flows be informed and quantified by labeling experiments with stable isotopes. To this end, the distribution of isotopomers in metabolites determined ("isotopologue profiling") by NMR and MS methods. The data provide information on the metabolism in bacteria, archaea, plants and animals, and enable the development of new drugs and new methods in biotechnology. NMR and MS methods are also used to investigate the formation of biomolecules under prebiotic conditions.
