Claudia Goulston

Biography

Claudia Goulston MD is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases. She also serves as the Director of the Infectious Disease Fellowship Program. She joined the faculty in 2006 and enjoys teaching fellows, residents, interns and medical students the art of the medical detective. She likes the challenge of finding the missed clues that can unravel a mystery. She is interested in HIV, travel medicine and general infectious diseases. Her research interest is in HIV elite controllers and latency.

She has traveled extensively to more than 50 countries and has worked around the world including from Namibia and Zimbabwe to China, Japan and New Zealand. She enjoys continually learning about the latest research and different approaches taken around the world to help her find the best care for her patients.
