Biography
Dr. Carlos Velazquez currently working as Associate Professor at University of Alberta, Carlos's research group is actively engaged in the development of safe and effective cancer chemotherapeutic and chemopreventive agents. In this regard, they are focusing our efforts on the optimization of compounds that inhibit the transcriptional activity of the forkhead box M1 (FOXM1) protein in triple negative breast cancer cells. They are currently supported by the Noujaim Institute for Strategic Initiatives (Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Alberta).
