Dr. Brian van Wyk is a social psychologist with a passion for research methods. Prior to joining SOPH in January 2006, he was a chief researcher in the Social Aspects of HIV/AIDS and Health research programme at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). He trained in health systems research at the South African Medical Research Council (MRC), and his current interests are in human resource management in health, socio-behavioural aspects of health and HIV and AIDS and community-based interventions.
