Anatoly Petrenko

Biography

Anatoly Petrenko has received his Diploma of Engineering (1957), Candidate of Science - PhD (1961) and his Doctor of Science - DSc (1968) in the National Technical University of Ukraine ”Kiev Polytechnic Institute”. Currently, he is working as a professor in NTUU “Kiev Polytechnic Institute”. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as a Head of System Design Department and a R&d Director of HPC Centre. His research has included Electronic Design Automation, System simulation and optimization, Large-scale systems, Numerical algorithms, Parallel computing, MEMS and VLSI design and layout, Web based Design, Grid/Cloud technologies and Service-oriented Computing, Distance Learning etc. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: State Ukraine Prize for Research (1986); Distinguished Ministry of Higher Education of USSR Award for the Excellent Research (1984); Distinguished Ministry of Higher Education of the Ukraine Award for the Excellent Research (1985); Reworded Scientist of Ukraine (1998); Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering of Michigan State University, USA (1991); Honor Professor of Electrical Engineering of Central South Technical University, China (199). His Biography is in WHO's WHO in the WORLD: Editions (2005, 2006, 2010- 2016). His leadership in CAD Engineering is through publications and educational activities (25 books, 424 scientific articles, 40 patents). His one book "Algorithmic Analysis of Electronic Circuits" was translated and published in USA by Western Periodicals, San-Francisco, 1975, 618 p. and another book “ALLTED-a Computer-Aided Engineering System for Electronic Circuit Design” was published in Australia by UICEE(UNESCO), Melbourne,1997,204 p. He was invited for joint research and lecturing as a Visiting Professor to California University in Berkeley (1976), Michigan State University (1991), Concordia University, Montreal (1993), New Jersey Institute of Technology (1995), Hong Kong University (1997), Sun-Moon University, Korea (1998), Central South University, Changsha, China (1999), Pohang University of Science and Technology, Korea (2000), University of Trento, Italy (2006), Ilmenau University of Technology, Germany (2011). He was serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like International Journal of Circuit Theory and Application (England), International Journal on Applied Engineering Education (Germany), Electronics and Communications (Ukraine), etc. & expert Reviewers for journals like System Investigation and Information Technology (Ukraine), Electronic Modelling (Ukraine), Cybernetics and System Analysis (Ukraine). He/she is a member of Ukrainian Academy of Engineering Sciences, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE), UK.
