Biography
I am currently the Research Director at the Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA) with close to 8 000 students and is involved at executive management level and research and lecturing for the last four years in this capacity. I have started and manage the Institutional Research Unit (IRU), the postgraduate department-which graduates many MBA students per year and the Data Analysis Unit (DAU).
Prior to my position at MANCOSA I was employed at other Higher Education Institutes such as Vista University and the University of Johannesburg in teaching and management positions. I am also a registered psychologist at the HPCSA and have been awarded with the Principals Award at Mancosa in 2011 and in 2012 was awarded a visiting professorship for my contribution to research and management by the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management.
I have published more than 20 articles in peer reviewed international academic journals and am the editor in chief for the “Journal of management and Administration” a peer reviewed open access academic journal. I am serving on the Executive committee of Mancosa, as well as on SENEX and am chairperson of the Research Committee, Conference Committee and Graduation Committee and serve on many others.
I am involved in policy writing and Quality Assurance of policy and compliance and implementation as well as the Selection Committee and the Teaching and Learning Committee with multiple re-curriculation of degrees. I supervised many masters’ students and am involved extensively with moderation and external examination at other institutions of higher learning. I hold post graduate qualifications in Psychology and Business Management and have supervised in excess of 50 MBA dissertations and serve as external examiner and moderator for various Higher Education Institutions.
