Prof Abdul Hakeem A Karimearned a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies from the University of Baghdad, 1991, Master's degree in jurisprudence from the University of Baghdad, 1994, and a PhD in philosophy of jurisprudence from the University of Baghdad, 1997. He worked at IIUM for 9 years, was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2005, and earned a best teaching award in 2006.
