Like authors lakes, heavy metals contamination in Chotts has become a concerning matter to the environmental research, due to the ecological
and health implications, particularly in developing countries. The study of water contamination in Chotts is not like the other water bodies, Chotts
have its own characteristics. While acknowledging a lack of existing scientific information concerning metals pollution of Chotts., the purpose of this
mini-review is to high-lights and increases the understanding of the factors which controlling the existing and distribution of heavy metals in surface
water of the Chotts. This review will provide detail information and discusses on various elements of heavy metals issues in Chotts including: the
concentration, distribution, human exposure and analytical aspects.
