Recent research has highlighted the potential of common bean cultivars as sources of bioactive compounds that can contribute to managing metabolic disorders. This article delves into the biochemical and phylogenetic analysis of Italian Phaseolus vulgaris cultivars as sources of α-amylase and β-glucosidase inhibitors, shedding light on their potential health benefits and implications for addressing metabolic conditions.
