Tissue Transplantation Research Articles

The future of transplant research depends on finding ways to fine-tune immunomodulatory protocols so that they not only suppress the inflammatory cells that lead to rejection, but also activate the anti-inflammatory mechanisms that rock the immune environment. towards tolerance. In this chapter, we describe three emerging areas of interest in the field of transplant immunology. Newly discovered innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) regulate T cell function and participate uniquely in innate and adaptive immunity. ILCs interact with the antigen such as commensal bacteria (microbiota) that reside on mucous surfaces to resist infection and activate immunity. Many diseases that will not be easily curable by existing therapies can be cured by this method of this tissue transplant technique. There are different types of tissue transplantation and the most commonly transplanted tissues include the cornea, skin, heart valves, nerves and veins. Free access to scientific literature means the elimination of barriers (including price barriers) to access to academic work.
