Risk assessment is a term used to describe the overall process used for the identification of hazards and risk factors that have the potential to cause harm. It analyse and evaluate the risk associated with that hazard. Types of risk assessment are Qualitative Risk Assessment, Quantitative Risk Assessment, Generic Risk Assessment, Site-Specific Risk Assessment, Dynamic Risk Assessment. Five steps of risk assessment are identification of hazards, decision of who might be harmed and how, evaluation of the risks and decide on precautions, record the findings, and implement them, reviewing the assessment, and updating if necessary. Risk assessment impact factor of a journal is evaluated by dividing the number of current year citations to the source items publishes the technique through which the effects of risk factors are analysed/quantified.
