Reproduction is the biological process by which cells and organisms generate multiple cells or organisms of the same kind. Sexual reproduction is dependent on the fusion of male and female reproductive cells, or gametes. Single cell parents can produce offspring via asexual reproduction, which is independent of reproductive cell union. The biology of reproduction is dependent on the actions of many sex hormones, as well as local modulators such as cytokines and growth factors. Research & development in topics including male functional, anatomy, endocrinology, and spermatocytogenesis are equally available for the study of female functional anatomy, estrous cycle, and ovarian physiology.
