Periodontal diseases are prevalent both in developed and developing countries and affect about 30-60% of entire population. High popularity of periodontal disease in adults, adolescents, and older persons makes it a public health interest. It is occurred by microorganisms that obey to and rise on the tooth's surfaces, along with an over-aggressive immune response across these microorganisms. Strong evidence shows the cooperative of periodontal diseases with periodic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Periodontitis can source tooth loss or worse, an increased cause of heart attack or stroke and other serious health problems. This was augmented by hand-searching in peer-reviewed journals and cross-referenced with the articles permeated.
