Chemotherapy for patients with broadly metastatic illness has been offered for the last 20 years1 as an approach to mitigate indications—henceforth its name, palliative chemotherapy. In 1999 Archer and associates characterized palliative chemotherapy as treatment given "in conditions where the effect of mediation is lacking to bring about significant endurance advantage, however affects improvement regarding tumor-related side effects, and where the concealment/harmfulness exchange off from treatment obviously favors manifestation relief."1 The reasoning was that by easing back tumor development, contracting tumor size, soothing weight on nerves and organs, and controlling agony, the intercession could improve a patient's personal satisfaction. Yet, I have heard patients and relatives state that palliative chemotherapy was giving them trust in a fix, in any event, when oncologists have made a point to impart that it was given without remedial goal. It likely could be that oncologists offer palliative chemotherapy since they need to "accomplish something"— and what they realize how to do is organization chemotherapy.
