The nervous and immune system are in constant dialogue, but information of that how these two necessary systems are integrated and functionally co-operative together at the molecular level are only now being advertised. Much of the current research in this field has highlighted on the role of immune cells and immune mediators in the initialization and the progression of specific neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis or Alzheimer’s disease.
