Neonatal jaundice is a yellowish discoloration of the white part of the eyes and skin in a newborn baby due to immense bilirubin levels. Other symptoms may consist of excess sleepiness or poor feeding. Jaundice is the most frequent condition that lack of medical attention and hospital readmission in newborn. Neonatal jaundice journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Journals contain articles that peer reviewed, in an attempt to establish that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity.
