Multiple sclerosis (also called as MS) is an autoimmune disorder affecting the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord). Autoimmune disorders are health conditions that occur when the antibodies mistakenly attack healthy tissue. Antibodies are body cells which fight off infections.
Signs and symptoms of MS:
> Speech problems
> Loss of balance
> Muscle weakness, cramps, stiffness
> Dizziness
> Memory problems
Having MS seems to have little impact on getting pregnant. If pregnant women have MS, she may more likely to have: gestational age of the baby is shorter, problems in pushing the baby out during labor and birth
