Liver Metastasis

A cancerous tumour that spread to liver from a cancer that already started in another part of the body is called as Liver Metastasis. It is also known as secondary liver cancer. Primary liver cancer originates within the liver and risk develops for the people who are already suffering with hepatitis or cirrhosis. The cancer cells which are found in the metastatic liver tumour are not the liver cells but are the cells from other body part where primary cancer originated. Some of the symptoms of liver metastasis include loss of appetite, weight loss, dark coloured urine, jaundice, abdominal swelling or bloating, nausea, vomiting, confusion, fever, enlarged liver etc., Risk of liver metastasis depends on the location of original cancer such as breast, colon, rectum, kidney, lung etc.,
